The Ice Shack (“we,” “us” or “our”) runs the mini ice rink at 483 Togus Road in Chelsea, Maine, and this website. This policy explains what information we collect through the site, how we use it and the choices you have.

Information you give us

• Contact and booking requests: your name, email address, phone number, what you are interested in and your message.
• Goalie camp requests: your contact information and the details you share about the player.
• Waivers: the participant’s name and date of birth, a parent or guardian’s name for skaters under 18, email, phone, an emergency contact, any medical notes or allergies you choose to share, and your typed signature and date.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, to keep the site secure and running. The site uses a small number of cookies that it needs to work. We do not use advertising cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed, so we can improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information like your approximate location, device and browser. You can opt out at any time on our Opt-Out Preferences page.

How we use your information

• To answer your questions and booking requests.
• To schedule ice time, lessons, camps and birthday parties.

• With The Mental Goalie, when you ask about goalie camps, clinics or lessons they run at The Ice Shack, so they can follow up with you.

Our Contact page shows a Google Map, and the site offers an accessibility tool (Ally by Elementor). These services may collect information under their own privacy policies. Links to Facebook or to The Mental Goalie’s website take you to sites that have their own policies.

How long we keep information

We keep messages for as long as we need them to respond and for our records. We keep signed waivers for as long as we need them for safety, insurance and legal purposes.

Children

This website is meant for parents, guardians and adult skaters. Waivers for skaters under 18 must be completed by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no website or email system is completely secure.
